Today’s complex projects make it almost impossible to track all aspects of a project without the use of a project management system. Microsoft Project is suitable for large and small projects and the project’s performance baseline can be easily monitored and controlled using several combinations of database fields and graphical representations of the project information.

While the workshop begins with the very basics of Microsoft Project, it integrates with the project management discipline to include advanced project management tools and techniques, used in everyday work to plan and manage projects efficiently and effectively.

During the workshop, participants will work on individual exercises and will have the opportunity to create a complete project plan, as well as monitor and control its progress, report on performance, exercise forecasting and create dashboards.

  • Examine how to set-up, organise, plan, monitor, control and report on a project using Microsoft Project
  • Become familiar with the Ribbon (Fluent User Interface) and the various project views
  • Understand how to set the project scheduling constraints and base-calendar

Mr. Andreas Solomou

Mr. Solomou has substantial experience in managerial positions. He has managed numerous projects in the fields of product development and education. Since 2006, he has been training professionals in various fields including project management.

He holds a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), and he is a certified project manager (PMP) by PMI (Project Management Institute), as well as a certified trainer of Microsoft (MCT). He also has an MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) certification for managing projects using information systems. He regularly delivers training to ECDL’s professional trainers regarding Project Planning.
