Institute of Directors (IoD) Diploma in Company Direction
Integrated with, and building on the Certificate Programme, the Diploma Programme focuses on broadening and strengthening the director’s understanding of strategic management thinking. The Diploma provides an opportunity to delve deeper into the role of the director and the board and put into practice the knowledge gained from the Certificate in a realistic leadership environment. It encourages peer group support, challenge and stimulation, mirroring in many ways the operation of a board.
The Diploma in Company Direction (Stage 2) builds on the Certificate to cover additional functional areas: (1) Understanding marketing and human resource strategy and how they interact with the corporate strategy, and (2) Structuring the organisation for future success based on the business objectives
